Position: OR Nurse (RN) | Biddeford, Maine
A critical opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in Operating Room nursing, focusing on Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures within a Level One Trauma Center. Candidates must have at least three years of Level 1 trauma experience and demonstrate proficiency in advanced surgical procedures using robotics and minimally invasive techniques.

Qualifications and Desired

Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Level 1 trauma operating room nursing
  • Expertise in Robotics (DaVinci Xi), PCNLs, Nephrectomies, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopies, Ureteroscopies
  • Comfortable managing a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Skilled in using Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Team-oriented with strong accountability and punctuality
Location:

Position is located in Biddeford, ME. The facility is a modern Level One Trauma Center that offers a collaborative work environment with advanced surgical technology and excellent support staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the operating room with focus on gynecology and genitourinary surgeries
  • Facilitate robotic-assisted surgeries and other minimally invasive procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Respond to trauma calls as scheduled, including overnight shifts
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the Epic EMR system
  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and dress code (teal scrubs issued)
Schedule and Contract Details:
  • Contract position
  • Day shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
  • Averaging 36 guaranteed weekly hours
  • Weekend rotation 1:4
  • One overnight clinical call per schedule
