- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Maine Medical Center – Biddeford is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator (RN) to join our Nursing Education Team with a primary focus on supporting the Operating Room.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced OR nurse who is passionate about professional development, clinical teaching, and fostering an environment of lifelong learning.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong Operating Room experience as a Registered Nurse
- Experience facilitating perioperative education, including support of a Peri‑Op 101 Program
- Current CNOR certification (strongly preferred) or the ability and commitment to obtain certification
As part of the Nursing Education Team, this educator will collaborate with clinical leaders, staff, and interdisciplinary partners to advance competency, promote practice excellence, and support high‑quality patient care within the perioperative environment.
Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Clinical Educator role is responsible for the implementation of clinical and non-clinical education. Develops, coordinates, and implements continuing education and in-service education for all clinical departments.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing/BSN required. Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred. - License/
Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. - Experience:
Demonstrated clinical expertise in direct patient care as normally acquired through a minimum of two years clinical experience and meets all the care delivery expectations of the expert clinical nurse within their clinical setting required. Experience in classroom instruction and/or clinical teaching associated with specialty specific setting preferred. - Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred:
Knowledge of educational development and design preferred.
