Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Engineer – Oil & Gas role in Biddeford, ME. Our client is a well‑established industry leader serving the oil and gas sector, known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality precision‑engineered products. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for components and assemblies used in oil and gas applications.
- Provide hands‑on technical support to production teams, troubleshooting machining, fabrication, and assembly issues.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency through lean initiatives, process standardization, and waste reduction strategies.
- Develop and maintain detailed work instructions, routers, and process documentation.
- Support new product introductions (NPI), ensuring manufacturability, cost efficiency, and production readiness.
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve non‑conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, improve cycle times, and increase throughput.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems (e.g., API, ISO).
- Evaluate tooling, fixtures, and capital equipment investments to enhance production capabilities.
- Train and mentor production personnel on best practices, safety procedures, and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in oil and gas manufacturing environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes for high‑spec industrial components.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as API and ISO quality systems.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
