Manufacturing Engineer – Oil & Gas

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Engineer – Oil & Gas role in Biddeford, ME. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for components and assemblies used in oil and gas applications.
• Provide hands‑on technical support to production teams, troubleshooting machining, fabrication, and assembly issues.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency through lean initiatives, process standardization, and waste reduction strategies.
• Develop and maintain detailed work instructions, routers, and process documentation.
• Support new product introductions (NPI), ensuring manufacturability, cost efficiency, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve non‑conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, improve cycle times, and increase throughput.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems (e.g., API, ISO).
• Evaluate tooling, fixtures, and capital equipment investments to enhance production capabilities.
• Train and mentor production personnel on best practices, safety procedures, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in oil and gas manufacturing environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes for high‑spec industrial components.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as API and ISO quality systems.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
