This position will be going to 8 different offices over the course of every 2 weeks (alternating Peds/Adult)

Summary

The Asthma Educator role is responsible for respiratory assessments, as well as assessing asthma self-care plan and asthma educational needs within the primary care practices of the Maine Health system.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a health‑related field and/or Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Respiratory Therapist required. Current applicable state(s) license as an Asthma Educator (AE‑C) or in process of achieving certification required; or must be achieved within six months of hire. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Valid Driver’s License may be required.
  • Experience:

    Three years of experience in a clinical setting, with relevant experience required.
