For a limited time Maine Health is offering sign on bonuses for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
0 - 1 years of experience is eligible for up to $2,500 (full time)
1+ years of experience eligible for up to $4,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time ANA/CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

The Nursing Float Pool is the department for CNA's that are seeking a challenge and would like exposure to a broad range of patient acuity levels. The CNA joining the Float Pool is looking to gain or build upon a broad range of clinical skills and knowledge base.

Ability to float between Medical-Surgical Units with focus of Cardiac and Post-Surgical diagnoses, as well as our Special Care unit; which provides great exposure to specialties while continuing to expand your experience and skills

Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant - Acute Care role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience:

    Relevant experience preferred.
