Typically Monday-Friday 8a-5p
This position will be going to 8 different offices over the course of every 2 weeks (alternating Peds/Adult)
SummaryThe Asthma Educator role is responsible for respiratory assessments, as well as assessing asthma self-care plan and asthma educational needs within the primary care practices of the Maine Health system.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a health-related field and/or Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred.
Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Respiratory Therapist required. Current applicable state(s) license as an Asthma Educator (AE-C) or in process of achieving certification required; or must be achieved within six months of hire. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Valid Driver’s License may be required.
Three years of experience in a clinical setting, with relevant experience required.
