LTS - Special Education - Education Technician II

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher, and assist in drill and practice activities.
• Participate in required workshops at the request of the Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.
• Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions, including suspension of students.
• Assist in the preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, etc.
• Alerts the teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.

• Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education
• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education
