Job Description & How to Apply Below

Adjunct Facilitators within the College of Professional Studies (CPS) are critical to the success of UNE’s online continued education offerings. Continuing education programs offered by the University of New England Online— including non-credit courses, certificate programs, workshops, and trainings— bring numerous benefits to professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills. These programs provide a flexible and convenient learning environment that allows professionals to balance their work commitments while pursuing further education.

The specialized curriculum and industry-relevant content offered in these programs ensure that professionals stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in their field.

The role of the facilitator in CPS is to facilitate the learning process for online participants through timely and effective instruction and communication. Facilitators also serve as mentors, sharing their experience to help guide participants and ensure they achieve their educational and professional goals. The instructor facilitates the retention of participants through creating a positive educational environment, allowing for participants to derive the maximum benefits from the offering in which they are enrolled.

Instructors will receive supervision, collaboration and guidance from the Continuing Education Program Team.

The Instructional Design Continuing Education Certificate program aims to provide participants with the skills required to design, create, build online learning experiences, and teach online. With an Instructional Design certificate, participants will gain knowledge and skills in areas such as backward design, accessibility of online materials and activities, creating interactive experiences and more.

The ideal candidate would possess prior online classroom experience in an educational setting, the ability to effectively communicate with participants, and a passion for teaching.
