Construction Inspector – Class IV
Acorn Engineering Inc. (Acorn) is accepting applications for Class IV Resident Inspector positions. The Class IV Resident Inspector will be responsible for single or multiple projects. We are looking for an Inspector who is experienced in one or more of the following specialties: roadway, bridge, marine facilities, rail facilities or building inspections. Overnight and weekend work may be required.
Responsibilities & Duties- Inspect and supervise construction inspectors for roadway, bridge, marine facilities, rail facilities, or building projects.
- Complete daily inspection reports
- Assure general compliance with DOT standards and specifications
- Review project plans and document Contractor compliance
- Direct field inspection support staff
- Prepare construction closeout documents
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- A minimum of 4 years Maine
DOT inspection experience - Knowledge of Maine DOT standards
- Valid driver’s license; daily use of candidate’s personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursed
