We are recruiting for an Audit Manager on behalf of a well‑established accountancy practice based on the outskirts of Bicester. The firm offers a full range of services to a varied client base, from sole traders and SMEs through to much larger companies. • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, liaising with them, communicating with them effectively throughout the audit cycle
• Managing teams through the planning, fieldwork and completion of audit engagements
• Monitoring budgets and keeping the partner updated on progress
• Managing and mentoring junior team members with the ability to give constructive feedback
• Statutory accounts preparation
• Ensuring the effective and timely delivery of engagements
• Assisting in tendering for new clients
• Maintaining and developing client relationships, both written communication and face‑to‑face meetings
• Ensuring the firm’s processes and technical standards are maintained
• Continuing to develop technical skills in all areas of accounting and auditing standards
• Other ad‑hoc duties in line with business requirements

• Fully ACA or ACCA qualified with experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
• Minimum of 2‑4 years experience of managing audits and audit teams
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102
• Proven experience in working to tight deadlines and time management
• Ability to build strong relationships with staff and clients
• An aptitude for teamwork and problem solving
• Good general IT skills with experience with accounting and audit software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
