About the Role

- We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant with 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance operations, a strong foundation in core accounting principles, and experience supporting property management or real estate accounting. The ideal candidate will have basic to intermediate working knowledge of Quick Books and familiarity with U.S. accounting and tax processes, supporting day-to-day accounting and finance operations for U.S.

-based real estate portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and support accounting records in Quick Books for property management / real estate entities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including rent income, owner distributions, and vendor payments
- Perform bank, operating account, and trust/escrow account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close, including property-level financials
- Prepare and review financial reports such as P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow statements by property
- Support finance operations including cash flow monitoring, budgeting support, and expense analysis
- Assist with U.S. tax-related activities, including sales tax tracking and coordination with external tax advisors
- Maintain accurate property, tenant, and financial documentation; support audits

- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance operations
- Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Basic working knowledge of Quick Books (Online and/or Desktop)
- Experience supporting U.S.

-based real estate or property management firms
- Working knowledge of U.S. accounting and basic tax concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity

Preferred Qualifications

- Quick Books Certification (Online and/or Desktop)
- Knowledge of real estate-specific accounting concepts (CAM reconciliations, escrow/trust accounting, owner statements)

- Experience with property management systems (e.g., App Folio, Buildium, Yardi)
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
