Class 2 Driver

Our drivers are one of the most important roles within EV Cargo, and as a fully qualified Class 2 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITES:

• Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information;
• Occasionally driving 3.5t vehicles during peak periods;
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle;
• Driving Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly;
• Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use;
• Ensure you inform the transport office of any problems in good time i.e. if you’re running late;
• Fit to drive; considering alcohol intake, daily rest, prescribed/over the counter medication that could affect your ability to drive;
• To ensure you arrive at your job on time;
• Maintain health and safety standards;
• Operating in a safe way, following all road rules;
• Ensure all paperwork is correct, completed and returned to the transport office;
• Delivering goods to various locations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Refrigeration experience is preferred but not essential;
• Valid Digital Tachograph card is essential;
• Completed CPC training course;
• Class 2 Driving License (C+E);
• Flexibility;
• Strong logistical and geographical knowledge;
• Multi-drop experience preferred;
• Ability to be adaptable and flexible with start & finish times;
• Fully completed driver CPC;
• HGV / LGV Class 2 licence with at least 12 months experience;
• Good work Ethic.
