Registered Nurse

This is a Registered Nurse role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves acting as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required, and ensuring high standards of care for the residents. As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for undertaking nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions. You will also be responsible for advising families and GPs of any changes in residents  conditions, as well as effectively deploying and supervising the care team to ensure all tasks are completed and residents receive the required care.

The role requires a First Level qualification, current NMC registration, a minimum of 2 years  experience, and up-to-date knowledge of care supported by relevant post-basic studies or qualifications.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Registered Nurse will be to act as person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and observing all instructions to act upon his/her behalf whilst you ensure high standards of care to our residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advising families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
• Responsibility for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
• Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
