An inclusive and well-supported primary school in Bexley is recruiting a skilled Behaviour Mentor / Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent, full-time, term-time only basis from January 2026
. This role is suited to an experienced professional who is confident managing behaviour and committed to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group SEMH support
• Help pupils manage emotions, behaviour and engagement with learning
• Apply behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and the wider inclusion team
• Encourage positive behaviour, resilience and independence
• Maintain a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment
• Support pupils across the primary age range

• Previous experience working in UK schools is essential
• Strong background supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
• Confident, consistent and effective behaviour management skills
• Calm, firm and empathetic approach
• Reliable, resilient and committed to pupil progress
• Able to build positive working relationships with pupils and staff
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
