Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self‑declaration form as part of the pre‑employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

At Little Common School, we pride ourselves on being a happy, thriving school community where children are truly at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated and passionate staff work collaboratively to deliver a high‑quality education that empowers every child to flourish and reach their full potential.

We launched a brand‑new nursery provision in September 2025. This extended service runs Monday to Friday, 7:45 am – 6:00 pm, for 46 weeks of the year, offering exceptional early years care and education to our community.

We have built a strong support team to work alongside our experienced class teacher and the wider school staff.

We Are Looking For:
  • A level 3 qualified, experienced nursery practitioner who is passionate about early years education and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
  • A team player with a positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • A confident team member with excellent communication skills, capable of ensuring seamless service delivery during the late afternoon/evening sessions.
  • Professionals with strong safeguarding knowledge and practice
    , ensuring the highest standards of care and protection for all children.

The role is for 6 hours per day from 12pm to 6pm, 52 weeks per year.

Holidays will be taken within the nursery closure periods with any remaining days as per agreement in advance, which may include during term time to aid with cheaper holidays.

Safeguarding and DBS

The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau).
