Are you ready to grow your career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? As a Level II Extrusion Operator at our Beverly, MA facility, you'll play a hands-on role in producing high-quality components that support Medtronic's life-changing mission.
This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a production setting, value teamwork, and are eager to develop new skills in a supportive, safety-focused workplace. We're working 100% onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.
Second shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
* Set up and operate extrusion equipment to produce high-quality tubing and components.
* Conduct quality control inspections: measure, test, and visually inspect products using precision testing equipment to identify and address defects.
* Perform basic technical troubleshooting to ensure consistent product output.
* Accurately complete required production paperwork and maintain detailed records.
* Collaborate with team members to support a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
* Manage physical tasks, including moving finished products for inspection and lifting raw materials (up to 50 lbs) for machine loading.
* Stand and move throughout the shift as part of the production process.
* Comprehensive training will be provided.
Required Experience
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* 2+ years of relevant experience
Nice to Have
* Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation.
* Familiarity with extrusion manufacturing, quality inspection, or safety procedures.
* Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
* Strong attention to detail, especially when completing documentation and quality checks.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and follow safety protocols.
* Experience using microscopes, Micro Vu, Instron, or similar testing equipment for product evaluation (e.g., tensile strength, burst, or crush testing).
* Physical ability to stand, move, and lift materials as needed.
* Proven track record of troubleshooting and problem-solving in a production setting.
