A Day in the LifeTechnician II
, you will support daily extrusion operations that help deliver life-changing medical technologies. You’ll troubleshoot equipment, perform testing, collaborate with engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Troubleshoot extrusion processes and equipment to support daily production.
- Operate extrusion line equipment; perform mechanical/dimensional tests and record data.
- Support validation of new products and processes with engineering teams.
- Train operators on extrusion line operation and best practices.
- Perform mechanical/electromechanical tasks, including burn room duties.
- Construct, calibrate, test, and maintain equipment and components.
- Work from schematics, drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Conduct calibration and alignment checks; perform adjustments and replacements.
- Recommend process improvements and efficiency opportunities.
- Order and maintain tooling and critical spare parts.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of production systems, GMP, and medical device manufacturing.
- Experience with tooling, fixtures, and inventory of spares.
- Understanding of PM procedures, 5S, Lean principles, and EHS requirements.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with plastics processing, extrusion, or compounding.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with bench‑top test equipment and measurement systems (English/Metric).
- Ability to work overtime; limited travel for training.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $50,400.00 - $75,600.00
This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
