Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Beverly, United States. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our community by performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and assisting with various facility upkeep responsibilities. Hourly wage $20 - $25.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from residents and staff members
- Assist in preparing apartments for new residents, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs
- Properly store and organize maintenance supplies and equipment
- Regularly inspect community areas and grounds to ensure they are well-maintained and safe
- Support the setup of community activities and events as needed
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to complete larger projects and improvements
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing job duties
- Assist in implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize future issues
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year hands‑on maintenance or related experience
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and housekeeping practices and procedures
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and organizational abilities
- Safety‑conscious mindset and adherence to proper body mechanics
- Physical abilities to perform job duties, including standing, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work various shifts and respond to emergency maintenance situations
- Customer‑focused attitude with a commitment to providing excellent service
- Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively in a team environment
