The Facilities Associate plays a key role in ensuring smooth, reliable daily operations across the organization. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot facility and equipment issues that may impact business continuity in an ISO-regulated environment.

Responsibilities include:

* Maintain accurate records of work activities and work orders
* Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests
* Perform basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs
* Coordinate and oversee external contractors as needed
* Monitor cold storage units during work hours and off‑hours using a monitoring system
* Use equipment specifications and manuals for installation and operation
* Conduct monthly inspections of safety showers and eyewash stations
* Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections
* Collaborate effectively as part of a team
* Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats
* Collect biological and chemical waste and support removal through third‑party services

Your profile:

* Minimum of 2 years of experience in general building maintenance or in the maintenance and minor repair of building utilities and laboratory equipment
* Associate of Science degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience
* Effective communication skills
* High attention to detail
* Working knowledge of building trades, including carpentry, general construction, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC
* Experience working with vendors and contractors
* Proficiency with hand tools and general maintenance equipment
* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
* Understanding of record‑keeping practices
* Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety procedures
* Strong attention to detail
* Familiarity with RO (reverse osmosis) water systems
* Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
* Ability to work on ladders, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks as required.
