** Job Summary
** Under the supervision of the Associate Dean and Dean of the School of Nursing & Health Sciences, the Assistant Director of Simulation and Lab serves in both instructional and administrative roles. In partnership with the Director of Simulation and Labs and course faculty, this position is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of lab and simulation-based education across all programs within the College of Nursing & Health Sciences (CSON&HS).

The role also includes advising undergraduate students and active participation in faculty governance and accreditation efforts.

* ** Instructional and Simulation Responsibilities
*** Develops, delivers, and supports lab and simulation-based courses across all nursing and health science programs.
* Ensures all instructional practices align with current professional standards and accreditation requirements.
* Evaluates simulation outcomes using competency-based and accreditation-aligned benchmarks.
* Provides technical and logistical support for simulation sessions, including set-up, break-down, and operation of high-fidelity manikins and related equipment.
** 20% of Time:
Administrative Responsibilities
*** Collaborates with the Director of Simulation & Labs to manage and support the simulation and lab program.
* Develops and oversees a standardized patient program across all programs.
* Manages inventory and maintenance of lab and simulation center equipment.
* Maintains warranty records and ensures the lab is equipped with state-of-the-art, fully functional technology.
* Prepares and submits the lab budget to the Office of the Provost.
** 10% of Time:
Additional Responsibilities
*** Advises and mentors students in the undergraduate nursing program.
* Participates in School committees, faculty governance, and accreditation processes.
* Be an active participant in the life of the College by attending and supporting key events like Commencement, Homecoming, and other all-hands-on-deck gatherings. Show a spirit of collaboration and community involvement, including volunteering when possible.
