The Escrow Officer is responsible for managing residential real estate escrow transactions from opening through closing, with a strong focus on client service, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for an experienced escrow professional who brings an active book of business and thrives in a high-volume, client-facing environment. The successful candidate will independently manage escrow files while delivering a high-touch, professional experience to buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate partners.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Manage the full lifecycle of resale escrow transactions, including opening, processing, and closing files.
- Facilitate closings by preparing, reviewing, and executing escrow documents, settlement statements, and disbursements.
- Clear title requirements and ensure all conditions are satisfied prior to closing.
- Prepare and balance settlement statements in compliance with lender instructions and TRID requirements.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, and other parties to ensure smooth transaction flow.
- Record and file closing documents and distribute final closing packages.
- Ensure compliance with all escrow, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while managing multiple transactions under tight deadlines.
- Minimum of two years’ experience as an Escrow Officer handling residential real estate transactions.
- Active and verifiable book of business is required.
- Strong knowledge of escrow procedures, closing requirements, and settlement processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with escrow software systems; RBJ experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage high transaction volume and perform under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and aptitude with figures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
