We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Biller to join a dynamic law firm in Downtown Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of legal billing experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency in Aderant, Pro Law or Elite billing software. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely billing, collections, and financial reporting.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalize monthly client billing, including pre-bills and adjustments.
• Manage the preparation, review, and submission of client invoices.
• Resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with attorneys and clients.
• Implement and maintain eBilling systems for streamlined processing.
• Train and supervise junior billing staff as needed.
• Monitor accounts receivable and coordinate collections efforts.
• Analyze billing performance metrics and generate reports.
• Develop and enforce billing policies and procedures.
• Handle client billing inquiries and process necessary adjustments.
• Present monthly billing reports to firm leadership.
• Collaborate with the finance team on reconciliations and audits.
• Stay current with billing software updates and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of legal billing experience in a law firm setting.
• Strong preference for candidates with Pro Law or Elite software experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

What We Offer

Base pay range: $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr
