SUMMARY: Main responsibilities include obtaining consignments and selling Modern & Contemporary Art

LOCATION: Beverly Hills, California

COMPENSATION: $90,000+ (Commensurate based on experience).



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Source quality consignments from private collectors, estates, advisors, dealers, etc.
• Establish estimates and negotiate client terms
• Assist with research, authentication, and condition reports
• Proofread catalog descriptions and assist with assets for marketing materials
• Participate in the expansion of client database
• Market-specific consignments to valued clients
• Assist with client services as necessary
• Assist with formal written appraisals as required
• Review settlements and wires

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years experience in a major auction house preferred and/or as a commercial dealer focusing on Modern and Contemporary Art; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel
• Ability to multitask and pay great attention to detail
• Must have a positive attitude with exceptional customer service skills
• Public speaking talents are a plus!
