Rainbow Hill Recovery is a mental health and substance use outpatient treatment program provided by queer people for queer people. Rainbow Hill Recovery serves adult LGBTQIA+ folx and is a LGBTQIA+ competent program designed to support body, mind, soul, and recovery from substance use disorder and mental distress.

Rainbow Hill Recovery provides treatment at the partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient program levels. Rainbow Hill Recovery is seeking a compassionate and skilled program therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting the needs of LGBTQIA individuals struggling with mental health and substance use issues. This role requires a commitment to creating an inclusive, affirming and safe environment for all clients.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Clinical Director, the program therapist delivers clinical services to LGBTQIA+ clients with mental health and substance use disorder; provides appropriate documentation of services; participates in training and supervision; collaborates with outreach and admissions teams; and provides milieu support.
Hours would fall within Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (PST). Can be flexible.
Pay range is $65,
Major Responsibilities:
- Upholds and maintains the Company mission, and values.
- Performs, interprets, and provides feedback to clients on various assessments relevant to mental health and substance abuse treatment.
- Engage in pre-admission assessments as needed to support admission process.
- Provides individual therapy sessions for clients, utilizing appropriate interventions adapted to the needs of the client.
- Delivers group therapy sessions consistent with training and areas of expertise as needed.
- Provides family and/or couples therapy sessions to clients and their families utilizing evidence-based family interventions specific to the needs of the client and the family as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Participates in weekly treatment team meetings, and program meetings.
- Collaborates and consults with members of the treatment team to provide continuity of care.
- Completes appropriate and thorough documentation within established time frames, including progress notes for individual, couples and family sessions, weekly therapy assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Completed Utilization Review Documentation and coordinate with the UR team to support coverage of care and advocacy for treatment time.
- Coordinate care with clients support system and treatment providers outside of treatment such as family, doctors, nutritionist, therapists, psychiatrists via ongoing collateral communications.
- Participates in self and peer audits of documentation to ensure compliance with licensure and accreditation standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Foster a safe, affirming, and supportive therapeutic environment that respects and validates clients' identities and experiences.
- If a LCSW, provide supervision to future associates.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
- Current licensure as a LCSW and be able to provide supervision.
- AMFT, APCC, ACSW (however we currently do not have a LCSW to provide supervision. There is only a LMFT supervisor on staff at this time).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with trauma, gender and sexual minorities, diverse clients or related educational experience.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices.
- Knowledge of affirming therapy principles and practices.
