JOB TITLE
:
Materials Manager
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Materials Manager is responsible for maintaining supplies, equipment, and all materials for the daily operation of the surgery center. This role includes managing records for ordering, receiving, processing for payment of requisitions and purchase orders, maintaining automated systems supporting materials management, coordinating physical inventory, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain supplies, equipment, and all materials for the daily operation of the surgery center.
  • Supervise the maintenance of accurate records associated with ordering, receiving, and processing for payment all requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Maintain automated systems to support materials management functions.
  • Coordinate physical inventory and complete mandatory reporting annually at the facility.
  • Monitor savings opportunities, coordinate product evaluations, perform cost analysis, and work closely with leadership in product evaluations.
  • Receive supplies and distribute them to the correct locations within the facility.
  • Maintain appropriate implant par levels and implant logs with Accounts Payable for payments and replenishment of supply for implant use.
  • Order supplies needed for surgery and patient care areas. Stock Sterile Supply areas daily and balance time to perform physical and desk responsibilities.
  • Work with Lead Tech to manage repairs, maintenance, or upgrades of equipment and facility needs with management and representatives.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and track supply identification on racks and sterile core areas.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Three years' experience as a scrub technician or comparable role with knowledge of Materials or healthcare supply chain preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in all phases of Materials Management, Supply Chain, and its integration with Accounts Payable.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Able to receive orders and put stock away with optimized time management.
