Job Overview
Join Cedars‑Sinai, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare, in delivering world‑class radiation therapy in Los Angeles. We award a $10,000 sign‑on bonus to newly hired therapists.
Responsibilities- Administer radiation treatments to cancer patients under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist and Chief Radiation Therapist.
- Verify treatment plans, perform quality checks, and maintain detailed documentation of daily/weekly QA, portal images, CBCT, and patient setup.
- Operate linear accelerators, including patient positioning, simulation, and delivery of specialized protocols such as SRS, SRT, SBRT, and brachytherapy.
- Coordinate patient scheduling via Mosaiq, notify EPIC of scheduling changes, and ensure accurate recording of patient information.
- Assist with quality improvement initiatives and Joint Commission readiness.
- Provide patient education and manage pain assessments, ensuring documentation of patient name, DOB, and target sites prior to treatment.
- Support team collaboration and proactively assist colleagues to meet departmental goals.
- Maintain equipment integrity through daily warm‑up procedures and routine QA.
- Graduate of an ARRT‑approved Radiation Therapy Program (required); bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years technical experience as a radiation therapist (new grads welcome).
- California Therapeutic Radiation Technologist Certification (required).
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology Certification (required).
- Basic Life Support Certification (required).
- Strong communication, time‑management, and patient‑care skills.
Competitive base pay of $62.00–$88.18 per hour, a $10,000 signing bonus, and comprehensive benefits including health and dental insurance, vacation, and a 403(b) retirement plan.
