** THE ROLE
** The Instructional Designer, School of Live is a skilled learning and development professional, passionate about creating high-impact, engaging learning experiences. This role reports to the Instructional Design Manager. They are responsible for designing, developing, and continuously improving learning content. It’s important that this person can apply adult learning theory/models, best practices, and trends, while maintaining knowledge of cutting-edge approaches in order to drive lasting impact aligned with our business needs.
They collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design programs, create engaging materials, and ensure program delivery is well supported to drive measurable outcomes. This role supports the Instructional Design Manager and works collaboratively with program/divisional SMEs to deliver timely and scalable learning solutions for a global organization.
** WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
*** Applies subject matter expertise in instructional design, aligned with research-based, contemporary adult learning theories, methods, and practices, all with a focus on creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences across varied learner groups
* Ideates with the team on the appropriate learning solutions, design, and technologies to serve a global audience
* Creates instructional materials/media (storyboards, facilitator guides, presentation decks), and leverages storytelling skills to translate ideas into scripted, interactive/immersive learning content across varied delivery methods (instructor-led training, video production, e-learning, performance support, etc.)
* Integrates objective-aligned learning checks and engagement strategies to verify comprehension, reinforce key concepts, and drive real-world application
* Uses surveys and other assessment methods to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the learning experience, and identify opportunities for improvement
* Updates and maintains School of Live training content and learning libraries based on guidance from School of Live leadership
* Works with various stakeholders and SMEs across the business to ensure content meets learning objectives and accurately reflects Live Nation culture, business, and priorities
* Maintains the Live Nation branding; works with the Instructional Design Manager and Graphic Designer to ensure visual consistency across all School of Live content
* Applies feedback and evaluation methods to continuously improve learning programs and inform future content development
** WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
** Required* Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience with instructional design in a variety of modalities (in-person, virtual, eLearning, micro-learning etc.) for complex businesses with a wide spectrum of employee types (i.e. from entry-level to executive).
* Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related discipline. Ideal candidate will have specialization in Instructional Systems Design or Educational Technology.
