Position: Long Term Front Desk Admin for Gymnastics Studio

Overview

Need Long term Front desk Admin for busy Gymnastics Studio. Bilingual in Spanish with excellent verbal communication skills preferred. Part of a caring, high caliber, high volume sports based children’s activity center school in Beverly Hills. This nonprofit school has over 40 years of experience serving adolescents with behavioral, emotional, cognitive and learning disabilities. This position offers an opportunity to develop in the field of quality customer service and mid-level school management.

Available immediately.

This role works with students, staff, outside agencies and families with a “can do” attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Greet students, staff, and visitors; answer phones; assist with attendance record keeping; compile student and staff files; monitor records for billing; coordinate accounts and collections; perform phone calls, filing, and general office support.
  • Interact with parents, relatives, and outside professionals; manage contacts; support a busy front office environment; execute tasks assigned by supervisor with critical thinking.
  • Provide front office leadership and participate in day-to-day management of the child development program; assist with administrative duties; align activities with the program's philosophy and goals; ensure health, safety, and social service needs of families are met; maintain open lines of communication with campus and local community; support program planning and financial development; oversee collections and accounts payable as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a MUST; superior communication skills.
  • Bank teller experience is a plus; ability to manage contacts with parents, relatives, and outside professionals.
  • Data entry experience; good knowledge of computers, especially Word and Excel; strong organizational skills.
  • Team player and independent thinker;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred; some secretarial experience, in a school, a plus.
  • Self-starter capable of functioning in a high-paced environment.
  • Hours:

    1:00 P.M.–9:00 P.M. (Mon–Fri);
    Saturdays required (8:00 A.M.–2:00 P.M.).
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary depends on education and experience; room to grow.
  • Benefits: 15 days of combined vacation and sick time in the first year; five paid holidays; very good medical benefits.
Additional Duties
  • Under general supervision, develops and administers the instructional program and fiscal resources of the Children’s Center; provides leadership in day-to-day operations; oversees administrative, clerical and front office functions; coordinates health, safety, and social service needs; maintains relations with parents and community; assesses organizational performance; plans short and long-term programmatic and financial development; ensures collections and accounts payable; performs other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications for program leadership include Master’s degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education, five years of full-time teaching experience in a group setting including one year of administrative experience, and meeting state health standards; fingerprint clearance required.
