High-Demand Opportunity - Senior Social Worker (Adults Hospital Team) East Riding of Yorkshire Council | Beverley / Hull | Up to £35.50 per hour (Umbrella)

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker (Adults) to join their Hospital Social Work Team on a locum basis. Opportunities are available at Hull Royal Infirmary, with additional cover supporting the North East Lincolnshire Acute Trusts.

This is a fast-paced, frontline hospital role suited to a confident practitioner with strong Care Act and Mental Capacity Act (MCA) experience. You'll play a vital role in supporting safe, timely discharges while ensuring statutory duties are met and adults' rights and wellbeing remain central to decision-making.

The Role

Completing Care Act assessments in line with statutory responsibilities
Undertaking Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and best interest decision-making
Working closely within multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) across acute hospital settings
Supporting complex discharge planning and risk management
Managing a varied and demanding caseload within a hospital environment
Maintaining accurate, timely and high-quality case records

What You'll Need

Qualified Social Worker with relevant post-qualified experience at Senior level
Proven experience completing Care Act and Mental Capacity Act assessments
Strong MDT working skills within a hospital or health setting
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Resilient, organised and confident in a high-pressure environment
Car driver essential due to travel requirements
