About You

You are a compassionate, respectful, and trustworthy individual with experience in a care or social care setting. You can confidently lead a shift while working collaboratively as part of a team, and you have a sound understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and care planning. With excellent communication and organisational skills, you hold or are willing to work towards the Care Certificate and NVQ/QCF Level 2/3.

Above all, you are flexible, committed to ongoing training, and passionate about delivering person‑centred care that makes a real difference.

About the Role

As a Care Officer, you will:

  • Deliver person‑centred care and support plans, including personal care.
  • Promote independence and dignity for adults with complex needs.
  • Administer medication safely and maintain accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and professionals.
  • Lead shifts and support colleagues, deputising for senior staff when required.
  • Participate in reviews, meetings, and staff development.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, safeguarding, and care standards.

This is a 32‑hour per week role, worked on a 4 week rota basis. Shifts may include evenings and alternate weekends, with hours typically falling between 7am and 11pm. Enhanced pay rate for evening and weekend hours worked.
