Overview

Location – Leiston, Suffolk

What you will be doing

We are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join Galliford Try’s Infrastructure division to be based on a brand-new highways scheme in Beverley. You will be assisting in the commercial administration, reporting and performance of the scheme, along with the following duties:

  • Contribute to creating a safe working environment.
  • Utilise Oracle software to accurately report costs and value to the business unit.
  • Evaluate internal expenditure reports and assess costs.
  • Assist in the procurement process for Subcontract partners, including bid preparation and evaluation.
  • Produce Subcontract documentation and manage change in accordance with contract terms.
  • Administer subcontract works packages, including interim assessments and change management.
  • Support the Commercial team with payment applications, site record maintenance, and cost-to-complete data.
About you
  • Good appreciation of standard forms of contract.
  • Strong IT skills including Excel, Word & Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Oracle).
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
  • Solid knowledge of construction processes.
  • First class time and outcome management skills.
  • Relevant degree and/or experience of working in a relevant Commercial environment.
  • Exposure on large single or multiple smaller schemes.
  • CSCS appropriate
