We are seeking candidates who excel in a deadline-driven environment and have a keen eye for detail. This short-term, contract/temporary role is ideal for those looking to build their tax expertise while making a real impact on clients' financial well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare both simple and complex State and Federal tax returns for individuals and small businesses.

Input and manage client data in tax software applications with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Address client tax-related inquiries, delegate questions, and schedule appointments as needed.

Ensure all tax documentation is gathered, organized, and compliant with regulations.

Prepare and file transaction tax returns using various methods (Paper, E-File, EDI Upload) with government agencies.

Calculate form preparation fees and issue invoices for services rendered.

Participate in special projects and take on additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Key Requirements:

1+ years of tax preparation experience, including individual and small business returns.

Proficiency in tax preparation software and familiarity with spreadsheets and databases.

Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.

Ability to handle data entry with precision and maintain data integrity.

Excellent multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.

Outstanding communication abilities, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients.

Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment.

AA or BS/BA in Accounting or Finance preferred.
