Location: St. Joseph Hospital – A Member of Catholic Health

Join St. Joseph Hospital, a proud member of Catholic Health, and help lead the safety and security operations of a 203-bed, community-focused hospital in Bethpage, NY. The Security Manager plays a vital leadership role in ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.

• Oversee daily security operations, ensuring effective coverage of all hospital buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate security personnel
• Respond to and lead investigations of security incidents, emergencies, and critical events
• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures in compliance with hospital, state, and regulatory standards
• Coordinate emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response efforts (including fire safety and disaster response)
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and local law enforcement agencies to maintain a safe environment
• Manage access control systems, surveillance equipment, and security technologies
• Prepare and review detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security documentation
• Identify risks and recommend proactive security improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• NYS Security Guard License required; supervisory certification preferred
• Valid NYS Driver’s License required
• BLS & AED Certification required
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive security experience, including supervisory experience (hospital or healthcare setting strongly preferred)
• Knowledge of healthcare security regulations, emergency management, and safety compliance standards
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

USD $35.17 - USD $43.08 /Hr.
