We have an immediate opportunity to join the Corporate Environmental Remediation Team as the Manager of Environmental Engineering 2 at our Bethpage, New York location.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee execution of project strategies, forecasts, budgets, plans, and goals
- Direct and guide technical planning and implementation of remedial activities to ensure project success
- Review/approve/monitor project-specific scope, schedule, and budget
- Compile project status and financial data for management reviews
- Participate in quarterly financial and performance reviews
- Provide QA/QC on agency deliverables from project team members and contractors
- Oversee contractor bidding, selection and contract award process
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental health and safety requirements (e.g., RCRA, CERCLA, OSHA)
- Oversee purchase requisition and invoice review and approval processes
- Perform routine program troubleshooting functions
- Implement sustainable remediation practices where applicable
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on project status and milestones
- Achieve a mutually agreeable resolution with multiple stakeholders with various interest and drivers
- Manage a staff of remediation engineers
- Assess project issues and develop solutions
- Provide coaching and mentoring staff and sustain engagement
- Bachelor’s Degree and 13+ years of experience in environmental remediation OR Master’s Degree and 11+ years
- BS degree from an accredited institution in engineering or relevant science
- Proven environmental remediation savvy and application
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience in field operations and remedial construction
- Ownership mindset, strong leadership and relationship building
- Resiliency and adaptability under change
- Ability to act with speed to meet customer requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills, self‑starter attitude, dynamic work environment
- Strong business/financial acumen and problem‑solving ability
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) accreditation
- Familiarity with New York State Environmental Regulations
- Experience working with NYSDEC and NYSDOH
- Experience working with US EPA Region 2
Salary Range: $ - $ (base salary guideline)
