LKB is seeking a qualified NICET Level II Construction Inspector to support roadway, bridge, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on field experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with contractors, clients, and project teams.

• Perform daily construction inspection of roadway, drainage, traffic, and asphalt resurfacing.
• Monitor contractor activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and standards.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and maintain accurate project records.
• Coordinate with project engineers and contractors.
• Review and verify quantities for payment.
• Observe and document materials testing and construction methods.
• Identify and report field issues and assist with resolution.

• NICET Level II Certification in Construction Inspection (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1–3 years of construction inspection experience.
• Working knowledge of NYSDOT and local municipal standards preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• ACI, OSHA 10/30, or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with e-Builder, Site Manager, or similar construction management software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

LKB is seeking a highly qualified NICET Level III Senior Construction Inspector to support roadway, bridge, and infrastructure projects. This senior‑level field position is ideal for a self‑directed professional capable of leading inspection assignments, coordinating with agencies and contractors, and mentoring junior staff.

The successful candidate will serve as a key field representative ensuring projects are constructed in accordance with contract documents, NYSDOT standards, and client expectations.

• Lead daily construction inspection activities independently for roadway and infrastructure projects
• Monitor contractor operations for compliance with plans, specifications, and standards
• Prepare detailed daily reports and maintain accurate project records
• Verify and document quantities for contractor payments
• Coordinate with project managers and contractors
• Identify field issues and assist in developing timely resolutions
• Review work performed by junior inspectors and provide guidance/mentorship
• Attend progress meetings when needed
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and project procedures

• NICET Level III Certification in Construction Inspection (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5-10 years of construction inspection experience
• Strong working knowledge of NYSDOT specifications and procedures
• Experience with NYSDOT Region 10 or 11 projects and proficient with Site Manager
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Additional CI field certifications
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification
• Experience in an Engineer-in-Charge (EIC) support role
• Prior experience mentoring or supervising inspection staff
