Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Bethpage, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the real estate and property industry.

Responsibilities:

- Process high volumes of invoices promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies.

- Review and code invoices to appropriate accounts, maintaining precise records.

- Conduct regular check runs and verify payment details to ensure accuracy.

- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.

- Monitor and maintain accounts payable records, ensuring all documentation is complete.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

- Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable activities.

- Perform regular audits of payable accounts to maintain data integrity.

- Support team members with additional tasks during peak periods. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

- Strong understanding of invoice coding and processing procedures.

- Proficiency in conducting check runs and managing payment schedules.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately in high-volume environments.

- Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
