T&M Associates is seeking a multi-talented Staff Engineer to join our dynamic team based out of Bethlehem, PA (hybrid). This person will be responsible for design projects related to wastewater treatment, hydraulic design, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a background in industrial wastewater treatment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Identifying and evaluating potential improvements in treatment processes and equipment to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct wastewater treatment process calculations and assist in process modeling to properly size and configure treatment processes.
  • Design layouts and specifications for treatment system improvements, including equipment, pumps, piping, tanks, chemical feed systems, and process monitoring and control systems in collaboration with technical experts and other design disciplines.
  • Assist with evaluating and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements; prepare and submit regulatory permit applications as needed.
  • Assist in construction-related activities including reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFIs (Requests for Information), preparing RFPs (Requests for Proposals), tracking project progress, reviewing contractor pay applications, and advising the owner on discrepancies and changes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required (PA license preferred).
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in the water and/or wastewater disciplines.
  • Knowledge of local, state, regional, and federal regulatory requirements related to water and wastewater.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong problem-solving and operational skills.
