Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing specialized educational support for students with visual impairments, this contract role offers an opportunity to work as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) within Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Assigned primarily to schools in lower and central Bucks County, educators will deliver tailored instructional services during the Extended School Year (ESY) program.

Various school sites within Bucks County, with primary office in Doylestown, PA - Contract duration:
June 23, 2025 July 30, 2026 - Hours:
12-24 hours per week depending on site assignment; ESY student hours typically 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Thursday - Commitment:
Full ESY schedule availability required - Travel:
Must reside within 35-minute commute to assigned school site and have reliable transportation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with visual impairments, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide itinerant or center-based services according to student assignments
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and instructional activities
Qualifications and
Experience:
- Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience working with populations exhibiting moderate to severe needs and behaviors
- Ability to manage flexible schedules with varying hours per week
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and related service staff
- Reliable transportation and residence within 35 minutes of assigned location
Additional Requirements:
- Submission must include a detailed resume, proof of active PDE TVI licensure, and one supervisory reference for the TVI role (with a rating of 3.5+ if applicable)
- Candidates must meet credentialing timelines and fully confirm availability for required schedules
- A minimum one-year break from previous engagements with this client through other agencies is mandatory for new consideration
