Housing Officer, Social Work
Location: Anglesey & Gwynedd - community-based role
Salary: £36,286 per annum

The RoleThis is a community-based, customer-facing role. You’ll spend much of your time out on your patch, visiting residents in their homes, supporting tenancy sustainment, resolving issues, and building positive local relationships.
You will:
- Manage a caseload of tenancies across Anglesey & Gwynedd
- Support residents to sustain their tenancies and access appropriate services
- Manage rent accounts and minimise arrears
- Address anti-social behaviour and neighbourhood concerns
- Work alongside partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable residents
- Conduct property visits and tenancy checks
- Allocate homes in line with policy
- Maintain accurate records and ensure legal compliance
This role brings both rewarding and challenging moments. You’ll be helping people at important points in their lives, while also handling complex situations such as arrears, safeguarding concerns and disputes.
Strong judgement, empathy and resilience are essential.
Location & Working PatternThis role covers Anglesey & Gwynedd and is primarily community-based.
- You will attend our head office St Asaph Business Park one day per week for team meetings and collaboration.
- When not visiting residents, you can work flexibly from home or local hot desk locations.
- During your initial training period, you will spend more time office or hot desk based to support your learning and understanding of systems and processes.
A driving licence and ability to travel across your patch is essential.
About You- Is fluent in Welsh
- Has at least 2 years’ experience in housing management (housing association or public sector preferred)
- Understands housing legislation, tenancy management and welfare benefits
- Can manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively
- Is confident handling challenging conversations and sensitive situations
- Builds strong relationships with diverse communities
- Is comfortable using housing management systems and Microsoft Office
A housing qualification (e.g. CIH Level
3) would be advantageous.
