This role provides technical expertise with developing and executing automated testing scripts as part of a tailored SAFe Agile Dev Sec Ops  pipeline. It involves software development to implement scripts, evaluate test results, and implement a feedback loop in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline. Flexible cross-training to provide systems engineering, software development, training, security, and testing is also desired. The role is responsible for technical planning, verification and validation, and fielding, including performing integration, system testing, and quality assurance, and generating test data in multiple environments.

• Guide and mentor junior and mid-level test engineers, sharing best practices, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Participate in program Agile software development initiatives (standups, planning, increment planning) to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing within a commercial cloud environment.
• Participate and collaborate with team members to assess StoryPoint/complexity efforts to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria.
• Collaborate with team members (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Software Developers) to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring/regression test cases through selected toolsets.
• Develop automated test cases using knowledge of custom applications through designated GUI/COTS products (e.g., Selenium and Katalon Studio).
• Leverage Dev Ops practices to ensure repeatability and configuration management of test cases/scripts are maintained and continuously improved.
• Develop and document end-to-end functionality test case narratives using task management system (JIRA/Confluence) and support performance testing/evaluation activities using tools such as JMeter.

• Significant experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on automation testing.
• Experience with creation, authoring, execution and documentation of test cases/result sets for software products in an agile cadence.
• General understanding and hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust automation frameworks using tools like Selenium or Katalon Studio.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java or Python for writing efficient and scalable test scripts.
• Significant experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Hub) and their integration with automated tests.
• Direct experience with software performance testing practices.
• Significant experience working/testing within Commercial Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS) and Dev Ops tools, in a SAFe Agile and Dev Ops development environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative environment to execute test cases that complement development efforts.
• BS degree with 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s 10-14 years of prior relevant experience. Will consider experience in lieu of a degree.

• Hands-on experience with Katalon Studio and Katalon Runtime Engine.
• Experience reviewing output of CI/CD jobs and tracking test failures back to code changes that resulted in bugs.
• Ability to review code check-ins to understand the impact of code changes on system functionality and potential bugs.
• Direct experience with AWS environments.
