Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain software applications and services supporting FAA programs.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, cybersecurity teams, and program stakeholders to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
- Support application deployment, integration, and sustainment activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and operational incidents.
- Maintain technical documentation, including design artifacts and user guidance.
- Adhere to secure coding standards, configuration management, and change control processes.
- Support continuous improvement through refactoring, automation, and adoption of best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship Required.
- Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience; or Masters degree and 3 years; or Associate's degree and 7 years' experience; or HS diploma/equivalent and 9 years experience.
- Front-end Angular web development and middle-tier Java Spring Boot API development.
- Familiarity with Angular, including components, services, pipes, and routing.
- Knowledge of Type Script and its benefits for large-scale applications.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) for front-end development.
- Experience with Spring Boot framework, including RESTful APIs, controllers, services, and repositories.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as Postgre
SQL. - Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like JUnit, Mocha, and Jasmine.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Familiarity with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes.
- Understanding of Dev Ops principles and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience developing and executing development test procedures, executing system test performance and stability test procedures, and Regression/user acceptance test procedures.
- Experience developing automated tests using Selenium and/or Playwright.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with aviation systems, air traffic management software, or mission-critical operational environments.
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
