RN Pre Op PACU
Surgical Specialty Center of Mid-Atlantic is hiring a full‑time Pre Op PACU RN.
The facility is a Medicare Certified Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) with one operating room located in Bethesda, MD, serving the surrounding community. It is certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Surgeries and services offered include orthopedic surgery, other surgical procedures, laboratory services, pharmaceutical services, and radiology services.
Job SummaryThe Pre Op PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient’s condition. The RN ensures patient safety, comfort, and privacy, assists physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile techniques, and delivers comprehensive care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state of Maryland
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center
- 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current state RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in PACU or ICU
- Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage

Pay rate:
Min. $45.00 to Max. $57.00/hr (wages determined based on qualifications and experience).
