Nurse Case Manager - Neurosurgery

Degree/Education
:
Must be a Registered Nurse, possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted state license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any state in the United States, District of Columbia or United States territory.

Certifications
:
Basic Life Support. In addition to BLS, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), certification must be by American Heart Association and individuals must demonstrate ability to initiate CPR in event of respirator or cardiopulmonary arrest. Certificate must be renewed every year at no cost to the Government.

Experience
:

Minimum of one (1) year experience within the preceding three (3) Years in designated Specialty.

• Possess a working knowledge of military culture, customs and procedures including military profiles and retention of Active-Duty Personnel, ability to effectively communicate with health providers at all levels and to provide professional assistance to health care finders in making referrals to appropriate health care providers.
• Board Certification:
  Possess one of the following certifications:
• Certification of Disability Management Specialists Commission:
  Certified Disability Management
• Specialist (CDMS)
• Association of Rehabilitation Nurses:
  Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN)
• American Board for Occupational Health Nurses Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or
• Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S).
• National Board for Certification in Continuity of Care:
  Advanced Certification in Continuity of
• Care (ACCC)
• Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification:
  Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC)
• American Nurses Credentialing Center Nurse Case Manager (RN-NCM)
• National Academy of Certified Care Managers:
  Care Manager Certified (CMC)

Licensure/Registration
:
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
