Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a Federal Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland to hire Medical - Surgical LPNs. Qualifications:

• Valid, unrestricted, LPN/LVN license at least 1 state of the U.SACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification
• American Heart Association BLS (required)
• Minimum 1 year of continuous employment as an LPNMust have Acute Care hospital experience
• U.S. citizenship required
• Contract Details – LPN:

$1,091 - $1,179 per week
* 52-week contract, with possible extension

NOC shift

Key Responsibilities:

The contracted LPN will be knowledgeable in professional care theories, principles, practices, and procedures to perform nursing assignments of moderate difficulty and experience in assessing adult and geriatric patients, as appropriate.

Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry and automated medical records.

Use the nursing process as a basis for professional practice. The contracted LPN/LVN will demonstrate proper assessment, preparation of patients for treatments and procedures, to include surgical interventions.

Perform/assist with clinic specific procedures, in accordance with established policies, and guidelines.

Supervise all paraprofessionals necessary in the care and treatment of the patient.

Skill in setting up, operating and monitoring specialized medical equipment such as IV infusion pumps, cardiac monitoring devices, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, nebulizers and other clinic specific equipment.
