About IMB Partners
At IMB Partners, we believe thoughtfully implemented AI and modern software tools can meaningfully enhance how we operate – increasing efficiency, improving insight, and allowing our team to focus on high-value work. We are committed to reducing manual, repetitive processes wherever possible and leveraging automation to save time across day-to-day workflows. At the same time, we aim to remain forward‑looking, ensuring our team can seamlessly utilize the most effective emerging technologies in a tangible way.
We are seeking a tech‑fluent individual to lead integration, optimization, and firm‑wide adoption of existing and emerging technology tools. This role will serve as IMB’s internal driver of AI implementation, systems integration, and technology adoption across the firm, and where appropriate, at the portfolio company level.
This is not a pure engineering role. Rather, this individual will function as a technical program lead who can implement AI‑forward integrations and processes that improve organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate will train and upskill the IMB team on how to best leverage relevant tools.
Initially, this role will be a team of one, which entails owning work from idea through adoption.
Key Responsibilities- Identify underutilized platform capabilities and drive increased usage across the firm
- Assess new AI and SaaS tools and prioritize implementation where there is clear ROI
- Develop a practical roadmap for AI and technology enablement aligned with firm priorities
- Recommend enterprise system improvements for IMB and provide advisory input to portfolio companies evaluating similar systems
- Drive responsible and practical AI adoption across the firm
- Identify high‑impact use cases for AI (administrative workflows, research, reporting, document analysis, portfolio monitoring, etc.)
- Develop internal playbooks, training materials, and best practices to increase AI fluency and usage
- Partner with leadership to define success metrics and track ROI of AI initiatives
- Manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication across multiple projects
- Lead end‑to‑end implementation of new tools and system enhancements
- Manage integration across platforms such as Slack, Asana, Microsoft Suite, Dropbox, Deal Cloud, and AI platforms
- Oversee configuration, workflow optimization, and data standardization
- Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure smooth rollouts
- Document workflows and operational processes
- Manage third‑party vendors supporting AI and technology initiatives
- Translate internal needs into clear technical requirements for external partners
- Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate scope of work
- Ensure vendors deliver on time, within scope, and aligned on business objectives
- Serve as primary liaison between IMB leadership and technology service providers
- Optimize Slack–Asana integrations to automate task creation, updates, and reporting
- Leveraging AI tools for document analysis, summarization, and knowledge retrieval
- Developing automated workflows to reduce manual data entry or repetitive administrative work
- 3-5 years of experience in technical project management, technology implementation, systems integration, or a similar role
- Experience in private equity or finance
- Strong fluency in modern SaaS ecosystems, APIs, automation tools, and AI platforms (does not require being a full‑time engineer)
- Demonstrated experience leading system implementations or technology rollouts
- Experience managing external technology vendors or consultants
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment with a positive attitude
- Highest level of ethics and integrity with the ability to maintain confidential information; demonstrated level of discretion in handling privileged information
- Familiarity with tools such as Slack, Asana, Zapier/Make, Microsoft Suite, CRMs (specifically Deal Cloud), or similar platforms
- PMP, Agile, or similar project management certification (a plus, not required)
