Job Description

This is a temporary position.
Key Responsibilities
Service Now Customization and Development
  • Design, develop, and customize Service Now applications, modules, and workflows to meet business requirements.
  • Create and maintain Service Now forms, fields, UI policies, and business rules.
  • Implement client-side and server-side scripting to enhance Service Now functionality.
Automation Framework Development
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks for Service Now to streamline repetitive tasks and processes.
  • Develop and manage scripts and workflows for task automation and orchestration within the Service Now platform.
Integration and Orchestration
  • Integrate Service Now with external systems and tools using REST APIs, web services, and other integration methods.
  • Orchestrate and automate cross-platform processes and data exchanges to improve efficiency.
  • Use the Setup Assistant to manage MID Server connections, credentials, and import schedules.
AWS Integration
  • Develop and implement integration workflows between AWS services and Service Now, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Utilize AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and other serverless technologies to automate processes. Implement mechanisms for data synchronization between AWS resources (such as EC2 instances, S3 buckets, and RDS databases) and the Service Now platform.
  • Implement security best practices for AWS and Service Now integration, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the security team to address any vulnerabilities and ensure a secure integration environment.
Testing Automation
  • Develop automated test scripts and test suites to validate Service Now applications and configurations.
  • Implement regression testing to ensure the stability of Service Now updates and customizations.
Scripting and Scripted REST APIs
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript to create custom functionality and enhancements.
  • Develop scripted REST APIs to extend Service Now's capabilities and facilitate data integration.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Communicate effectively to gather requirements, provide status updates, and address issues.
  • Collaborate with Dev Ops teams to ensure smooth and reliable releases.
Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field

• 3 to 6 years Service Now development experience. Technical lead experience is welcome.

• Customer-facing technical consulting experience with Service Now

• Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, or Service Portal development.

• Expertise in various Service Now capabilities, including GRC/IRM, Issue Management, Vulnerability Response Management, Security Incident Response (SIR), ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, and ITIL frameworks. Exposure to Advanced Risk Module is added advantage.

• Experience with Service Now integrations using REST/SOAP and MID Servers

• Experience with JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, and CSS

• Familiarity with CMDB and Discovery.

• Implement best practices in coding and design as per Service Now standards and community guidelines.

• Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD), Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) or other relevant certifications.

• Proficient in reporting and dashboard set up.

• Experience with Agile development methodology, requirements management and JIRA, or a similar RTM platform and ability to provide time estimation to work components.

• Demonstrated history of upskilling independently, Adaptive Execution skills, and maintains a pulse on industry innovations.

Platform Migration & Governance Skills:
  • Extensive experience managing the Service Now update set lifecycle, including creation, preview, migration, and conflict resolution across multiple environments.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve update set conflicts efficiently to ensure smooth promotion of changes between instances.
