Job Responsibilities- Identify and assess external leads—government agencies, defense partners, industry stakeholders, and subject matter experts—that align with national security program objectives and priorities.
- Collaborate with program managers and senior leadership to prioritize engagement with external organizations, enabling strategic partnerships and operational alignment across national security missions.
- Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration across internal teams—including policy, intelligence, operations, and technology—to identify interdependencies, shared goals, and mission‑critical linkages.
- Develop and manage coordinated action plans with internal stakeholders and external partners to advance program goals, ensuring clarity of roles, timelines, and outcomes.
- Track and manage critical actions, decisions, and milestones, providing structured follow‑through to ensure progress, accountability, and resolution of key issues.
- Serve as a trusted liaison to connect internal program priorities with external initiatives, ensuring unified messaging and sustained mission support.
- Lead and support working groups, strategic planning sessions, and interagency coordination efforts to foster alignment and information sharing across national security entities.
- Monitor developments in the broader national security landscape to identify emerging engagement opportunities, capability gaps, or mission‑critical overlaps.
- Prepare and present regular updates, briefings, and situation reports to senior leaders, highlighting progress, risks, and recommended adjustments to engagement strategies.
- Maintain awareness of relevant national security directives, policies, and frameworks to ensure all engagements and actions support broader strategic objectives and compliance requirements.
- U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI and CI Polygraph.
- Typically requires a BA or BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and provide actionable insights and recommendations to government leaders and key stakeholders.
- Ability to act as a liaison between government staff and offices, and contract support, as needed.
- Ability to organize and facilitate strategic meetings, working groups, and collaborative sessions to gather insights and build consensus on issues.
- Ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports, white papers, and briefings summarizing findings and strategic options for senior leadership.
- Experience using collaboration and tracking tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Confluence, or Jira, and creating dashboards to communicate status of efforts succinctly yet comprehensively.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex topics to technical and non‑technical audiences, ensuring clarity and influence.
- Ability to represent the organization at conferences, working groups, and intergovernmental discussions to advocate for proposed policies and solutions.
- Prior experience supporting or working within the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), DHS, or other national security agencies.
- Familiarity with interagency coordination processes, national security policy development, and defense acquisition or R&D processes.
- Knowledge of key national security strategies and frameworks (e.g., National Security Strategy, National Defense Strategy, IC Directives).
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to connect dots across organizational boundaries.
- Experience facilitating working groups or strategic planning sessions.
- Understanding of emerging technology areas relevant to national security (e.g., AI, cybersecurity, space, critical infrastructure).
