Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in IT application management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53 security controls and compliance frameworks (FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Experience with enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, collaboration platforms) in secure environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-based applications and hybrid architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (Power Shell, Python, Ansible).
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft/AWS/Azure certifications are highly desirable.
- US Citizenship.
- Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Experience working in federal or regulated environments.
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Applications Lead to oversee the design, deployment, and management of enterprise applications within a secure NIST 800-53 enclave in support of the FAA BNATC contract. This role is responsible for ensuring that all applications in support of the contract meet stringent federal security and compliance requirements while enabling business operations and mission‑critical functions. The IT Applications Lead will collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and compliance teams to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient application services.
Key Responsibilities Application Management- Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise applications within the enclave.
- Ensure applications are aligned with organizational needs and comply with NIST 800-53 control requirements.
- Oversee application lifecycle management, including upgrades, patches, and decommissioning.
- Integrate NIST 800-53 security controls into application design and operations.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure configurations, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring.
- Support audits, assessments, and accreditation processes (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Maintain documentation of application security controls, configurations, and dependencies.
- Conduct risk assessments for new and existing applications, ensuring mitigation strategies are implemented.
- Partner with compliance officers to ensure adherence to federal and organizational policies.
- Lead a team of application administrators and analysts, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Work closely with infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders to align application services with mission objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for application‑related escalations within the enclave.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, federal security standards, and best practices.
- Recommend enhancements to improve application performance, security, and compliance posture.
- Drive automation and modernization initiatives to streamline application management.
