VMS) that empower managers to hire efficiently and compliantly.

Job Summary

This role sits at the center of Marriott’s Total Talent supporting the Global Technology organization. The Flex, Recruitment Operations & Vendor Lead splits time evenly across:

  • (50%) External vendor / contingent workforce management:
    Own the lifecycle for contract workers, from onboarding through offboarding, while leading vendor management and first line support for managers and suppliers.
  • (50%) Internal recruitment operations:
    Audit requisition and recruitment reports, manage escalations, and partner closely with the Client Services Manager to keep process flow, data integrity, and stakeholder communication tight.

You’ll be the go to advisor for hiring leaders, suppliers, and HR partners - driving process improvements, ensuring system accuracy in Simplify

VMS, and elevating the candidate and manager experience.

Core Work Activities
  • First level customer support:
    Provide timely guidance to hiring managers and suppliers on job creation, assignment management, time approval and offer workflows.
  • Manage the contingent lifecycle:
    Oversee Simplify

    VMS requisition management, lead collaboration sessions, onboarding, assignment changes, extensions, and offboarding.
  • Lead vendor management:
    Build strategic supplier relationships, guide sourcing strategies, monitor performance, and drive corrective actions where needed.
  • Conversion & offers:
    Lead agency conversion process, including stakeholder guidance, extending verbal offers aligned with compensation guidelines.
Internal Recruitment Operations (50%)
  • Audit & data integrity:
    Reconcile Simplify

    VMS requisitions with internal recruiting systems (e.g., mHub) and ensure reports accurately reflect requisition status, assignments, and approvals.
  • Recruitment management:
    Track and monitor recruitment efforts to ensure strong candidate flow/hiring processes, elevate challenges and provide recommendations on alternative solutions. Drive alternative solutions as needed.
  • Escalation management:
    Triage and resolve process or system escalations; coordinate fixes with HR and vendor contacts; communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder collaboration:
    Partner closely with the recruiters, Client Services Manager, HR Business Partners, and hiring leaders to align intake, selection, and offer processes.
  • Continuous improvement:
    Identify bottlenecks, recommend workflow changes, and influence managers and recruiters to adopt best practices that reduce cycle time and errors.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in contingent labor, staffing and/or recruiting environment
  • Contingent labor ecosystem experience (PMO/MSP/EOR/AOR or staffing agency)
  • Familiarity with recruitment and/or talent acquisition processes in a hiring and onboarding capacity
  • Prior experience managing vendor relationships and monitoring KPIs/SLAs
  • Recruiting experience in IT/Technology roles preferred.
  • Advisory mindset with strong interpersonal, consulting, and communication skills; adept at building collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical & problem solving excellence; comfortable interpreting metrics to drive decisions.
  • Process influence & innovation:
    Ability to influence managers/recruiters, think outside the box, and implement pragmatic improvements.
  • Detail oriented, self motivated, and organized with excellent documentation and follow up discipline.
  • Prioritization & multitasking in a dynamic, client facing environment; able to work independently.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of commitment.
  • Experience with tools such as Oracle HCM, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel).
Work Location
  • Bethesda, MD (Global Headquarters); hybrid schedule with 2-3 days in office weekly preferred. Open to remote for strong candidates.
