The Patient Service Representative is the first point of contact for patients by greeting, gathering information, registering and posting payments. This role is critical to Washington Radiology by providing outstanding patient care and maintaining the flow of the center and by contributing to the organization’s profitability.

Work Hours:
Full-Time, 40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm or 8:30am–5:00pm
- Greet patients and gather information to support registration and check-in.
- Register patients and post payments accurately.
- Provide outstanding patient care and help maintain center flow.
- Serve as a positive, patient-focused member of the front desk team.
- High School diploma;
- Two years of healthcare registration or customer service experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of cash handling
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but sometimes complex written or oral instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations; ability to sit and/or stand for long periods
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of RIS software preferred
- Provide services and support for the following areas:
- Understand, promote and demonstrate the Washington Radiology Way; handle routine customer interactions with proficient customer service, active listening, and empathy (phone, email, or chat)
- Adhere to training guidelines and utilize available resources
- De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied patients by offering assistance and support
- Schedule patients and offer alternatives when dates/times are not available
- Maintain performance by meeting or exceeding KPIs (e.g., average handle time, quality, attendance, schedule adherence)
- Possess a moderate understanding of the role and work under close supervision
- Utilize company resources and training materials
- Maintain patient confidentiality 100% of the time
- Maintain productivity and minimal downtime
